Your Role The manager Logistics Engineering is responsible for the site engineering team, which consists of a logistics analyst, and 4 problem solvers. The Logistics Engineering manager ensures with his team the right optimization of resources and processes while achieving key quality, cost, and performance. The manager drives the operation, development, and implementation of key processes to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures. Main Resposabilities: - Maintains in depth knowledge of the various storage medium and configurations, as well as slotting and consolidation tools and operations, in order to maximize distribution location footprint. - Reviews slotting Key Performance Indicators (slotting accuracy, slotting health, etc) on weekly basis and assigns tasks to team members to improve productivity and service results - Tracks slotting and other projects driven by each team member against milestones and tasks, and hold them accountable for project deliverables. - Monitors replenishment vs plan on a daily basis and recommends actions to the team to make sure of desired inventory coverage levels. - Build and leverage relationships with functional leaders and internal business partners to deliver optimal capacity solutions. - Develop business tools and processes to capture and monitor metrics for capacity processes. - Evaluate gaps in productivity and service balance, coordinate, and lead projects to improve the reliability and efficiency of the processes. - Maintains in depth knowledge of process flow and value stream mapping to drive optimization of people, tools, and resources. - Leads and executes the analysis of daily and weekly KPIs, identify root cause and execution of corrective actions with support from cross-functional team members. Leads a team that supports the tracking of project plans, scrutinizes delays if any, identifies help required and invokes escalation as required through the project steering committees. - Supervises daily housekeeping tasks for all businesses (Contact lenses, Frames, Optical Lenses) through respective team members. - Present weekly KPI reporting to the leadership team. - Collaborate with the operations team to help implement changes to improve the planning of capacity levels and communicate closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team on volume forecasting. - Regularly analyze data to ensure that KPIs are met to develop and lead new processes, procedures, and corrective actions. - Communicates effectively in a multi-functional and highly matrixed organization. - Establishes a work environment that reflects and operates on the principals of EssilorLuxottica values. - Fosters an environment of engagement and inclusion and team building for all associates. Acts with advocacy, empathy, and accountability on behalf of the team. In our Fulfillment Center in Wijchen we handle the logistical processing and shipping of contact lenses and accessories, sunglasses and photochromic lenses. So far we do this for six brands that have moved to this new Fulfillment Center. These brands are active in both B2B (wholesale) and B2C (e-commerce). Our warehouse team currently consists of 75 employees. We are currently expanding our Control Tower/Customer Service Backoffice team with a third team member. This team handles the administrative handling of the B2B and B2C activities that are carried out in the warehouse. Back office / Control Tower Customer Service agent Are you a communicative all-rounder with a passion for logistics? Job description: As a Back Office Customer Service Agent you are an important link between the corporate team, located in our office in Italy, and local stakeholders such as wholesale customers, carriers and colleagues (in the warehouse). You will be responsible for customer service at the second level of logistics processing, ensuring frequent cross-functional communication with various stakeholders. You will also be responsible for updates and changes that are crucial to EssilorLuxottica's internal operations, in particular by providing accurate and timely information on shipment status and other logistics questions. Your role will be to create and develop positive relationships with local and business stakeholders through regular meetings to discuss performance, develop ideas and improve planning, always with the aim of improving the customer experience. Order processing / follow-up: You will work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to monitor order fulfillment processes. You manage the daily and weekly monitoring of the WIP (work in progress) workload and dispatched orders to assess accuracy, set targets and associated KPIs. Proactive problem solving: You anticipate potential challenges in order execution and proactively address them to prevent disruptions. You update the website with the customer promise times agreed at company level, so that our customers receive the most accurate and up-to-date information. In doing so, we take into account holidays and other events in great detail and in a timely manner. You offer and support initiatives to improve logistics objectives. Data management and analysis: You support the business team by analyzing and collecting data and substantiating and sharing the associated logistics KPIs. Communication Excellence: You proactively maintain contact with the Customer Service department at the first level about problems/delays that may affect our customers. You communicate updates, delays and relevant information in a clear and concise manner to all stakeholders. You contact your manager if there are performance issues specific to warehouse processing. The Role: Manager Continuous Improvement, Traning & Quality In this role you will support the evolution of EssilorLuxottica's lean culture to raise the region's Lean capacity, as well being responsible for establishing short and long-term learning strategies to increase the quality of performance at all levels of logistics employees. The CITQ-Manager will inspire the team to improve performance in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and efficiency, meeting financial goals. Working collaboratively across functions, this role will define training strategies that balance theory and practice to create and design learning modules that meet associates and management development goals. This position will mold the direction of future learning programs and be the driver to create a culture of continuous learning.
