The Manager, Human Resources, Foot Locker Europe is a Business Partner role providing hands-on and strategic support across the full cycle of Human Resources. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing agile internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Business Partner
As a business partner, you will provide HR expertise & solutions to the business across the following areas:
- A hands-on approach and determination to monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
- Work with the business leaders on the organizational design in their functional areas and ensure the smooth execution of such organizational changes
- Coach and develop leaders at management level to drive behaviors that are aligned with our core values and business & people objectives
- Proactively understand business & people goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements, productivity and development of HR within the company
- Manage and coordinate HR programs, policies, and systems within the business
- Know your role in a matrix environment and ensure cross-functional collaboration with our local and global HR and other functions to enhance collaboration and find holistic, big picture solutions
- Be an agile leader to impact positive change
- Partner with business leaders to focus on associate development and connect individual and broader plan with business and people objectives
- Be data minded providing insight to the business to support DIB, succession, retention trends, engagement, development, performance etc.
- Have a learning mindset and play a role in embedding this in our organization through promoting and connecting business to our L&D tools and training

Proactively support the annual Performance Management Process:
- Ensure clear communication and that associates are understanding the process
- Ensure compliance and that associates are trained across the entire performance lifecycle
- Address employee concerns and performance issues
- Ensure quality of goals and business connection through review and partnership with the business Employee Relations
Create and drive effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs:
- Manage and monitor absenteeism and ensure administration is in line with regulations
- Ensure employee relations matters are followed up with urgency and advice / actions are in line with company policy and local legislation
- Manage & monitor accurate and effective employee administration (updated employee files including visa's etc.) and all other documentation required by country legislation
- Partner with business for onboarding process for new associates; execute transactions in the People Soft HRIS system to ensure accuracy for reporting requirements
- Manage and monitor emerging country legislation to maximize flexibility and align HR strategies to the business plan; focusing on prevention, ensure all policies are in line with local employment legislation
- Proactively train line management on all legal aspects in their roles as leaders of the organization in order to minimize disciplinary processes, legal proceedings and general exposure for the business; represent Company in court if necessary.


Professional Background
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years human resource business partner experience
- Fluency in spoken and written English and local language
- Extensive working knowledge of Dutch local employment legislationSkills Required
- Strong solution focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
- The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results
- Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
- Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization
- Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
