The Manager, Merchandise Operations role is responsible for the upload and tracking of key article and listing elements within the company's product systems. The positon will partner with the buying and planning departments, as well as other business stakeholders, ensuring that all new articles and listings are created within the product system.

The Merchandise Operations department is responsible for the master data integrity and pricing accuracy of all SKUs. The department also supports the company's new growth plans through the creation and maintenance of site master data, the processing of listing changes and SKU updates and uploads.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work with Planning, Allocations, Buying and other teams to execute the item setup process for products, including product ID and SKU creation and change requests, along with understanding data dependencies and timing, to ensure expected outcomes and deadlines are achieved.
  • Serve as an owner of the master product database and stakeholder representing the Merchandise Operationss Coordinators in cross-departmental projects.
  • Be an expert in our product mainframe system to provide support to the Merchandise Operations Coordinators and suggest improvements for productivity, accuracy and quality.
  • Lead a team of approximately 4 associates, responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team and the development and training of the associates.
  • Work closely with members of the technical teams to help troubleshoot bugs and update product data. Provide diagnosis and suggest solutions on how to improve product data integrity in the database.
  • Develop and communicate calendars to manage resources against capacity, working with internal partners to ensure support for deadlines to keep product flow.
  • Proactively communicate with various stakeholders/ department owners across regions against deadlines.
  • Manage backlogs and tickets that impact downstream activities.
  • Help audit and monitor product data to ensure accurate information is incorporated into our databases.
  • Collaborate with vendors to verify item details are accurate within the system (model #, SKU description, UPCs, etc.).
  • Keep training documentation up to date on evolving features within the product database
