You will be involved in all aspects of the software life-cycle, from project/feature backlog prioritization, requirement engineering, and development oversight through testing, release and support for products serving our end users. Acting as a liaison between business and technology, creative problem solving, impeccable communication and attention to detail are key skills expected in this role.

You will have end-to-end ownership over the systems supporting the HR process, acting as a product owner and you will also manage projects as a project manager. Constantly improving and in line with Rituals' ambitions for the coming years. You will advice the business and implement short- and long term improvements, always overseeing the bigger picture. Furthermore you will:

  • Team up with direct colleagues, counterparts in HR/Finance/IT, business analysts and product owners to tackle projects that make ambitions come true
  • Turn isolated business units and software partner islands into an undivided continent, so we can co-create software with a shared vision and focus
  • Translate ever-evolving business requirements into lean & mean solutions
  • Come up with solutions yourself: if something can be done better, show us
  • Expertly manage stakeholder expectations. E.g., by aligning plans and making sure everybody knows what to expect, when, and why
  • Keep close tabs on key users, both within the HR, Finance and the broader organization, so you stay ahead of change requests and issues
  • Follow the Agile way of working and monitor sprint progress (testing, user story maintenance)
You will spend (most of) your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.


High on energy, low on ego and with a little bit of humor. You have excellent problem solving, documentation and communication skills. You have the ability to adapt to the fast-paced way of working at Rituals. On the other hand, you want to explore new tooling and domains (e.g., HR platforms) and you have project management skills and a positive attitude. On top of it:

  • You have around 5 years of relevant project management work experience
  • You have demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • You have knowledge of the HR processes
  • You have a bachelor or master's degree, preferably in Human Resouce / (Business) Economics or comparable
  • Experience with Workday, Quinyx or SmartRecruiters is a plus
  • You have effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English

The Business Technology (BT) department within Rituals is "more than IT" because it also focuses on managing the business demand and supplying the necessary technology. The execution of the IT processes, such as development and infrastructure, is mostly outsourced. In multidisciplinary teams we take responsibility for advising the business and translating business demand into specifications and user stories for our (external) partners.

Our team within BT, responsible for the Rituals HR systems, is looking for a Project and Product manager for the HR process. You will work closely with functional managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts in documenting business requirements, training materials and conducting user acceptance testing across our IT development-, software integration- and configuration projects within the HR domain.
