As Demand and Supply Management (DSM), we serve the Nike planning function combining insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when they'll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) and Assortment Planning sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for NIKE and our partners.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an Assortment Planners to join our Foot Locker Planning team in EHQ! In this role you will serve our Strategic Partner Foot Locker, with a focus on one of the consumer led areas of the Foot Locker Europe team.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Planning: Create assortment plans independently with an understanding of financial, product, and supply planning. Collaborate efficiently with upstream & downstream functions. Stay aware of emerging trends in planning.
- External relationship management: Ongoing dialogue with account buying and planning team across end to end Consumer Code gates and dates.
- Risk management: Escalates risks or opportunities that are grounded in facts and presents options for resolution. Assess risk within business objectives.
- Analytics: Bring to bear statistical forecasting, data science, and new ways of thinking to develop plans and drive better decisions. Expands existing frameworks to do analysis in a logical structure. Ground decisions in data & insights.
- Insights: Demonstrates strong problem solving & thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs & outcomes. Thinks beyond prescribed solution & demonstrates industry & market trends to improve business outcomes. Understands (digital) retail metrics & business drivers.
- Consumer focus: Understand consumer needs & marketplace from available data and is able to link plan with market trends. Awareness of product portfolio and strategy, including expectations around consumer response, growth opportunities and product lifecycle.
- Influence: Designs compelling communications that articulate the story and insights with a clear summary of the main ideas.
- Develop franchise/classification and assortment plan for your area of the Foot Locker business.
- Join franchise/classification & assortment conversations with the cross-MPU/Gender team to drive the right consumer demand plans.
- Collaborate with key cross functional partners on pre-season and in-season risks & opportunities.
- Sell-in - Final Line Review to negotiate & land final assortment & order book together with Merchandising, Marketing & MPO.
- Open-To-Buy & Order Reconciliation - ongoing dialogue with buyer to understand partner plans & orders entry completeness.
- In-Season - drive trade decisions and execution.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
- Collaborate with Merchandising & Brand to sell-in and execute seasonal assortment & stories.
- Critical relationships with account buying and planning teams across the full end to end Consumer Code gates and dates.
- Collaborate with Operations (MPO) to execute order-book.
- Inform Long Range Sales Forecasting by Merchandise Financial Planner and Finance.

Profiel

WHAT YOU BRING
- At least two years of experience in retail/business or assortment operations planning related fields.
- Strong understanding of consumer demand and both retail metrics and wholesale financial planning.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding detailed assortment planning, product affinity as well as higher level Omnichannel Retail and coordinated market place planning strategy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including senior business leaders, other senior planning leaders, and highly technical talents - both internal, as well as external with buying organisation of Partners.
- Commercial & Ambitious mind- and skillset, ability to negotiate and trade pre- and in-season.
- A self-starter mentality and be eager to drive and own end to end communication with results driven, forward thinking and proficient information seeking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to network, utilize internal and external resources, deliver commitments, and to meet timelines.
- Knowledge of automated planning systems, MS Windows applications, particularly Excel.
