As a Senior Manager - Editorial Strategy at adidas you will be responsible for leading the global editorial content strategy across the adidas owned channel digital ecosystem (.com, email, adidas app). Your goal will be to direct and enable internal and external stakeholders to plan, create and operationalize best-in-class consumer-first editorial content across these touchpoints. The Senior Manager - Editorial Strategy must be a branded editorial content expert with at least 7 years of demonstrable experience in editorial content strategy, creation and/or marketing. The successful candidate will have extensive experience throughout the end-to-end editorial process, as well as expertise in collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to plan, produce and rollout exceptional branded editorial content and content strategy across multiple markets. Copy-editing and SEO copywriting, as well as CMS knowledge will also be required for this role.
- Set the strategy
- Gather and synthesize all available insights from across the organization (consumer insights, trend reports, search trends, brand marketing, digital analytics, legal and more) to create, rollout and iterate the digital editorial content strategy
- Execute the strategy
- Ensure all key editorial project milestones for the year are delivered on-time and in full
- Ensure all digital editorial stakeholders are working against the set strategy
- Communication
- Build close relationships with teams and colleagues who will be central to the development, ongoing optimisation and execution of the editorial strategy (e.g. Multiple data sources, SEO, Creative, Markets, Global Newsrooms, Sports Marketing, Activation & Publishing and more)
- Build an adidas editorial network of colleagues executing editorial across other adidas touchpoints - to align on cross-channel planning, share learnings and best practices
- Ensure senior stakeholders are regularly updated on how Editorial content is delivering against Brand, Sales & Digital priority objectives
- Success Measurement
- Report on efficacy of strategy by working closely with analytics teams to compile insights and learnings from editorial content executions
- Iterate and evolve strategy based on analytics insights
